hi cassie, my insurance company wanted to switch me from Mircette, which I've taken for 5 years, to Kariva (generic). I complained and got a new prescription from my Dr. for the "brand name only". If you are willing to pay the difference in the cost of the generic v. brand name then you should be able to make that decision.

I don't know about the generics causing your problems, but I do know that some generic drugs are not as good as the brand name, esp. those on the narrow therapeutic index.
