Birth control

I know I posted this before, but I don't think my question was understood because my question wasn't really answered. I take Alesse birth control to regulate my periods. I am not sexually active and do not need it for contraception. I was supposed to start a new pack Sunday (4/27), but had to wait until my payday today to get them. Can I start them this Sunday (a week late) or do I need to wait until I get my period? Waiting one month is not a problem, but I sometimes skip periods. I might not get one next time. When do I start them?
