Stubborn Urinary Tracy InfectionFrom: caren (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Apr 2003 05:19:00 -0500 (CDT)
I have a urinary tract infection, got it after a sonogram by a person who was moving the prong around too much - it hurt. Took Macrobid for 7 days. It did not help. Urine culture came back negative, but with some WBCells. Another Dr. put me on Cipro for 3 days, it's still not better. I have burning and frequent urination. I feel I was fine before the sonogram, but have been feeling as if I am going to get a UTI for one year (it burns a day or so.) I am concerned because I have had condyloma in my vagina and on cervix 15 years ago. Good PAPS since. Can condyloma appear in the urinary tract? My gyn's next step is for me to get a cystoscopy of the UT and bladder for signs of irritation....she said.
