Thank you for all your replies.
It was an endometrial biopsy. Actually, I also thought that maybe the
first thing to do is an ultrasound and if the ultrasound showed some
abnormalities and than a biopsy would be done. He didn't even suggest
an ultrasound, all he said was that if the biopsy comes out normal than
he will put me on birth control pills. It just doesn't seem right to
me.
