I know when I was in the military, it was required to have another
female in the office when a male doctor was doing an exam. It's
protection for the patient and the doctor. There is a third person
there to make sure that nothing happens that shouldn't. I personally am
uncomfortable any time a male doctor asks me to undress for any type of
exam and doesn't bring in a woman. And as a woman who has have several
infertility procedures, my gyn exams number in the hundreds so it's not
like I'm talking only a few times.
