Hi Holly,

I am not a doc, but weaning off SSRI's can cause some of the GI problems you are describing. You need to go off the medication very, very slowly. What you are describing is not slow. It took me over a month and a half just to get off Paxil (that was cutting it down to the point where I would just take a small chip of the pill for quite a while) and even then it took another month and a half to not have side-effects. You might want to talk to your doc about going off more slowly. Benadryl is sometimes helpful in relieving some of the side-effects like dizziness, but I don't know if it would help with GI problems. Do talk to your doc.

Best wishes, D.N.
