I am a 44 year old female who for the last 6 months or so has been exhibiting the following: extreme fatique - sometimes I have no energy to get out of bed - other days I sleep like a log until 3:00 in the afternoon and am still tired - other days I have insomnia, bloating, water retention, inability to concentrate, sore legs, tingling feet, cold, weight gain. I had a period that lasted 11 days (normally 5) and so I made an appt to see my OB GYN and he put me on Serafim. He also did a CBC and blood liver function tests and there were no problems. First month I took 10mg, and then 20 mg for the last 2 months. I have not noticed any difference. I have not ever had any mood swings, problems with anger etc., and was a llittle confused when I read the information packet with the prescription. I am not sure that my symptoms are only the last 2 weeks of my cycle they seem to last all month although possibly more intense at that time. I have been doing some reading on natural progestrone cream and was wondering if estrogen dominance is potentially my problem and if I should try using it. I am on Allese for birth control and my question is - if I use progestrone cream will it interfere with the effectiveness of the birth control ?
