Re-Post - Rare Fibroids

After many years of abnormal menstrual bleeding and several attempts at curbing it through non-invasive treatment, it was finallly agreed upon that the only real solution to my problem was a hysterectomy. When I went to see my ob-gyn for a follow-up afterwards, he mentionned that upon biopsy, my fibroid was discovered to be a rare type, comprised almost completely of blood vessels. This was about 3 years ago, and I cannot recall what the name of this type of fibroid was...I just know that he said he hadn't seen one like it since med school. I tried to find info about the fibroid at the time, but could not locate any. I am now trying again to find some data about this, but without the proper name of the fibroid, I am unable to do so. Can anyone help me out with this please? Thanks.
