To convert cms to inches multiply the cms by .39. Therefore a 2.8 cm cyst is 1.09 inches in size.

The type of cyst can be important. A simple (functional cyst) is the least worrisome.

You need to sit down w/your Dr and get your questions answered. Is this Dr an ob/gyn, because you are going to want a gyn rather than a GP for the most experienced opinion and recommendation? You are also going to want a good second opinion since you are this worried and a good gyn/onco would probably be your best bet since they concentrate on gyn problems rather than a split practice with a lot of ob "business" and since I suspect that cancer is your biggest fear.

Do keep in mind that the CA-125 is an imperfect test at best.
