2.8 cm is a little over 2 inches, not that big but apparently not resolving. Hopefully one of the docs will reply to you, I thought they usually kept track of cysts more closely when you are over 40. I might get a second opinion, especially if he is not taking your pain seriously. If you do go for a second opinion make sure you take all of your records with you. Good Luck!
