Re: bowel painFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 13 Apr 2003 04:08:04 -0700 (PDT)
Pat, Yes, this can be a sign of endo. It can happen during a period as you mentioned, and it can also happen without having a period. I've met some ladies that had this problem too and one of them said that the dr told her it was colon cancer and she only had a short time to live and it turned out only to be the endo. When I was first starting out with endo and having to deal with GI symptoms (which actually turned out to be IBS) they wanted me to have a lower GI and a flexible sigmoidoscopy and I wasn't about to do it b/c I knew where all my pains were so I don't blame you for not wanting to go in for the colonoscopy. Feel free to e-mail me directly any time. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html For women who are interested in additional support http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Endo_Vulvodynia_PCOS/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Zoladexforendometriosis/ I am a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
