uterine wall thicknessFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 7 Apr 2003 11:41:54 -0500 (CDT)
I am a 29year old with 2 previous prengancies. I have had a tubal ligation. In both of my pregnacy I had pre-eclampsia. I went the the emergency room this week with severe abdominal pain in my right side. They did several test. Through vaginal ultrasound they found cyst on both of my ovaries and said my uterine wall was thickened. My periods lately have been heavy lately very painful ( actually it seems I have pain on a regular basis even when I am not menustrating) and clots larger than a golf ball and smaller than my fist. I have pelvic pain and lower back pain. I go to my obgyn tommorrow. I was wondering what the normal ranges for uterine thickness. I have searched the archives for this range. Also I was wondering what could cause this? What do I need to tell my obgyn to get the most out our vist. Are there any other test that should be done. What kind of treatment should I expect. I was definately hoping to stay away from the birth control pills. Can someone please answer these questions.
