Thanks D.N.!From: aimee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 7 Apr 2003 00:29:41 -0500 (CDT)
Thank you for the suggestion D.N. and your best wishes. Actually I did have a lap in Jan. but the gyn I WAS seeing told me the pain was psychogenic after finding a 1cm lesion on my left ovary. He said he lasered it, but didn't do a biopsy, and said he wasn't sure if it was endo or not but still had the nerve to tell me it was all in my head--talk about contradictory. I've started seeing a new GP because all the GYN's in town are in the same office--I already tried getting someone to give me a second opinion but was refused and told to go to a town about 400 miles away. I've taken so much time off from work for pain, surgery, and appointments I can't afford anymore and, to be honest, I'm just getting tired of dealing with it all (and I think a little gun shy). I think I trust my new GP, he seems more willing to listen to my concerns and talk about them than the gyn, but it's taking so long and there's no way he can tell me about the lesion that was removed--I can't even go back for a biopsy to ease my mind and get a definite answer to THAT question. I guess I'm just trying to concentrate on the current pain on the right side and get input on what it might be to take my mind off the other side and hopefully get back to feeling somewhat normal for the first time in 8 months. IT'S JUST PLAIN HARD NOT KNOWING! Thanks for letting me vent. best wishes to you as well since I'm assuming you're probably looking for answers yourself?!
