Severe cramps 29 yrs. oldFrom: Rachel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 6 Apr 2003 23:42:59 -0500 (CDT)
I just went to my ObGyn a week ago and explained how bad my cramps were (very very painful). The doctor mentioned Endometrosis as a possibility for my pain, but said that she would have to do surgery just to find out if I have it (which probably would not hurt nearly as much as my cramps). Also, my doctor mentioned possible fibroids, but they are not ususaly anything to worry about. In the past I saw different ObGyn's and told them how bad my cramps were, but the only thing they ever suggested were B/C pills. In the past, I took birth control pills for about 4 years straight and don't want to keep putting that into my body. If this is Endometrosis, how dangerous is it to not take action? I would like to have children someday, couldn't either of these conditions be too serious to overlook? I go in for another appointment in a couple of weeks for some tests, are there any questions that I should ask my doctor (either Endometrosis or fibroids)? Any feedback about either of these conditions would be appreciated very much!
