43 and having extra bleeding and discomfortFrom: Kelly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 6 Apr 2003 03:59:57 -0500 (CDT)
Ok, quick past: first period started aprox. age 13... I am now 43, no children, have had pap tests since age 20, all have been normal, except for a few maybe 8 years ago, they came in as a class 2, they went back to class 1. I have had ovulation pain since around age 30, have always had painful periods. Had a lap. exam and all was normal, no endometriosis. Ovaries have always been "normal". I have no other medical problems. What's happening now: My period last month was "odd", I still felt as though I was on my period even after it was over. My breasts were still sore, and I had mild discomfort in the pelvic (uterus) area, this lasted all month, until my next period which started 10 days ago ( on time, exactly 29 days since the start on my last, my periods have always been very regular), now, when my period started, it ended the "sore breasts", but, it is day 11 and I am still spotting ??? My periods are normally 6 to 7 days, and I have "mild discomfort" in the pelvic/uterus area, kinda like it feels normally when I am about to stop my period. I have never in my life had this long of a period... (11 days) What could be going on ???
