Lapidus M.D.: "Re: Depo Provera Questions" Reply: Sophia: "Re: Depo Provera Questions" I'm 18 years old and went to my first GYN visit last week for very extended bleeding and I'm very anemic and need this to stop at least somewhat. I would take the pill but I can't due to a vascular disorder I was born with. I was told that my only option was Depo Provera. When my gyn told me about it, it sounded fine. Then I started reading about it on the internet. I found horror story after horror story. My doctor did inform me of a possible slight weight gain and some mood swings but these stories sound absolutely terrible. I am now thinking I don't want to take it but I really have no other options. I was just hoping somebody on here had some sort of info, either a good or bad experience with Depo Provera.
