sudden, severe or spasmodic pain in your lower abdomenFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 2 Apr 2003 19:35:10 -0600 (CST)
I was reading up on different types of cysts since I have one, but don't know what kind. I need to reach my doctor to find out, but meanwhile I am in pain so searching for information. OK I found the sentence sudden, severe or spasmodic pain in your lower abdomen while searching... I am not having that now, but I am known to get very severe charlie horse type cramping in my abdomen and sides. You can see these crapms visibly when I have them... they knock me to my knees! I have seen doctors (regular)a dozen or so times in the last 7 years. None know what to tell me. I basically put it off as weak stomach muscles. My question now though after reading this while searching for information on cysts, could my cramps be described as sudden, severe or spasmodic pain in your lower abdomen?? I have not had one in about two weeks now. They come in spurts for a week or two here and there or off and on for a month or two, stop for sometime and come back again. They can happen while doing nothing, but sometimes happen if I vomit or cough. This is why I "Think" it is just weak stomach muscles. Thanks. :)
