Dear D.N.,

Thanks for your post. I am now 33 and so the surgery was almost seven years ago. For along time I never had a period and now they are starting to become more normal. Yes, the ovary was left there on purpose because the DR. said she left it because I was so young. I still have one tube supposedly I had a bilateral salpingo oopherectomy however the report the dr. gave to me was that I still have part of one ovary, one tube and my uterus. I believe the problem might be that I am overweight and so my periods arent regular. I am trying to lose weight so maybe that will help me regulate them. Not that I love having them but I still wonder about my chances of getting pregnant. The Dr. told me that it could be possible with time. But I never really believed her. Maybe I should try harder to lose weight to see.

Thanks again, Phyllis
