Unidentified lesion--any ideas?

Please help if you can. I had a laparoscopy in January to find out if the symptoms I was having were endometriosis. After the surgery I was told nothing was found but when I got a copy of the report it said the GYN found a 1cm lesion on my left ovary and a small area of hemorage--no biopsy was done--and he also noted "lobulation" of that ovary. For various reasons I am no longer going to that GYN and am seeing a new Family Practice Physician who seems very willing to listen to my concerns. I do have concerns about the lesion and am wondering what it could have been--the GYN lasered it so I can't request that it be biopsied even though I'd hate to go through another surgery. I plan on speaking to my FPP in a couple of weeks when I go in for an endometrial biopsy but would like as much input as possible. Any ideas on what it was? Symptoms are: metrorrhagia, lower back pain, pain in the area of the right ovary, indigestion, gas and some bloating, right hip pain on and off, and the ovary pain was made worse by activity and clothing pressure (and a few other minor symptoms). I'm not looking for a diagnosis, just information so I can inform myself and be able to have an intelligent discussion with my Dr.--and hopefully have a better understanding of what he says. Thank you so very much!!
