Ovarian Torsion

I was reading your article on Ovarian torsion. Mind if I ask a couple questions? I had ovarian torsion happen to me last week, "relentless agony" as I have heard it described is correct. I was given morphine and several other pain killers through the night and because they still didn't know what it was by morning I had an ultrasound and they said my ovary was 7cm long and had a possible dermoid. They also said it looked like it had twisted back by itself because the blood flow looked fine. I didn't have the pain I had before and I was released. I have gone to my GP and he got me an appointment with a OBGYNE but not for 2 weeks. So I'm left a little confused. I have tried to read everything I can get my hands on but to no avail. My questions are: in your studies have you ever heard of someone's ovary twisting back? And if so what is the likelihood of it happening again? And is it more likely to happen when I'm ovulating on that side? Should I still have surgery to remove it so that it doesn't happen again? I feel like a time bomb and really scared it will happen again, and need to know if there is any likelihood that it will happen soon, or if it could take years. I have plans for vacation out of the country and I can't have it happen there. I just want more answers and no one will give them to me.
