I'm looking to have a hysterectomy and bladder lift soon (just waiting
for the docs to get it scheduled) due to prolapse. Removing the uterus
will help keep things from falling again in my case. And since there is
such a strong family history of cancer, the gyn has decided the ovaries
need to go too. With 3 abnormal paps, I'd consider just going ahead and
having everything removed now. If you have questions or doubts, just
call you gyn and ask again why he/she wants to do the hysterectomy.
