help with abnormal bleeding and lower back painFrom: crackerjack (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Mar 2003 01:22:35 -0600 (CST)
i am 26, and since my first papsmear, i have had nothing but bad ones to come back, i have been treated with prescriptions, frozen, and finally i have to have a leap(?). i have had 3 children, last was twins,(1 survivor)so for birth control i ended up witht he norplant. this august will make 4 years, it has been a roller coaster, but this past year, i have had to take cenestin the most to stop bleeding. having a premie baby, it kinda took longer than usual to get my annual pap. each time i have taken cenestin, it has stopped the bleeding, i would have my period for at least2-3weeks. this past time i bled for 2 weeks, i got another prescription, and rite before the weekend i was just spotting, but when the weekend came, it was like a river, plus some. it finally has slacked off and i am still taken the estrogen, it is off and on now, but my legs and lower back ache tremedously, especially my back. this isnt normal, ihave had past problems with my periods, but after a few days it would ease up.this hasnt, i have contacted my doctor's office, but they dont know until i come in. could this be side effects from the estrogen or norplant. it would really be useful to get some info on what a leap is too. thanks cracker
