ovulation right after period..what can I do?

I am 41 and having perimenopause symptoms.

I am finding my cycles are closer together. Used to be 32-35 days and now I have them anywhere from 20-27 days apart.

I had mild bleeding for 6 days, then on day 7 I got the ovulation discharge (clear, egg white and stringy) already!! If that means a period in 2 weeks..then my cycle will be 21 days.

Been using natural progesterone cream (compounded for me)6% 1/4 tsp 2 times a day day 12-26 (unless I being early). This will be month 5.

Why can't I get my period to be more regular? Am I missing something? Is it really possible to be bleeding one day then ovulation the next???
