Vomiting and pain such as you describe is NEVER normal IMHO.

It's not so bad to have an exam as I am sure you know. Have you talked to her about the exams and what is done? Have her go to http://www.gyn101.com. It is a great site for those going through their first GYN exam.

May not stop bleeding..in fact, may increase the bleeding.

What an antidpressant will do is make things easier for your daughter to cope, and hopefully lessening the pain. There is another mechanism of AD's that will help pain, but I am at a loss for that right now.

As I said, DepoProvera may increase the bleeding.

There is a genetic component of Endometriosis, so it is highly possible, and the first thought I had for your daughter.

Your daughter would only have to worry about colon cancer or breast cancer if it was a first degree relative (you, her father, sister, brother)....at least where colon CA is concerned.
