Night Sweats - please help! Reply: Richard Chudacoff, MD: "Re: Night Sweats - please help!" I am 27 and have been experiencing night sweats for about 2 years. Some nights severe (changing clothes and sheets 3 times). I have been tested for everything (chest x-ray, tb, MRI, blood work of all kinds it seems) and my estradiol levels were found to be low. I was on the pill for 6 years and went off for 40 days to have hormones tested. The first test estradiol was less than 10, second test on day 3 was 37. FSH was not elevated. I am being treated for menopause with HRT, but obviously am not menopausal. Have been told to take up to 6mg of estrace! It seems to have lessened the sweats or maybe it is just coincidence, but my breasts are very tender and I have gained weight in the past 30 days of being on it. I'm worried about the consequences of taking estrace, especially if the night sweats are being caused by something else and I'm still having them. I'm only taking minocycline for face breakouts and use Nasonex, otherwise no other meds. Has anybody else experienced this? Sorry for the long post. Next message: anon: "spotting after GYN visit?
