Getting Sick after Sex???

I'm 20 years old, and always get a really bad strep throat infection after sleeping with a new guy. It is always the exact same infection, and does not occur until after I have actual intercourse with him. Kissing, oral sex, and manual sex have no effect, and neither does the amount of time I wait before we go to bed (from one night stands to one month). Is this normal? It's so strange, because it ALWAYS happens a few days after the first time we have sex, but then I never get it again until the next guy. Only one of these men ever got it, and his infection was much milder than mine. It usually takes at least 2 different antibiotics to kill the bugger off, and other strep infections respond just fine to a basic penicillin. Is this common? Any help or insight as to why this is always happens would be greatly appreciated. Is there anything I can do about it, other than just to always get sick and deal with it? Thanks!! Haillie
