[Birth Control] Orthi-TriCyclen vs. Diane-35From: alena (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 9 Mar 2003 11:51:16 -0600 (CST)
I was concerned about the risk of Breast/Ovarian cancer from BC pills, and recently read that estrogen can increase your chances of getting this form of cancer. For this reason I have switched from Ortho-TriCyclen to Diane-35. Can you please verify that the hormones in Diane-35 are less likely to cause problems...I believe the active ingredient is Cyproterone acetate versus the estrogen in Ortho-TriCyclen. Also do you know of a website that compares the two in more detail. Thanks
