You don't mention how old you are, but estrogen feeds the endo. The lesion on your ovary is most likely an endo implant but it would be best to clarify that with your doctor since he saw it. It doesn't make much sense to have a hysterectomy and keep the ovaries as the endo will most likely come back unless it is completely excised (cut out). If it completely excised there is no need for the hysterectomy. There are others on the board who have had hysterectomies that kept one or both ovaries and have had a lot of problems later. I'm sure D.N. can expand on this since she is suffering from ovarian remnant syndrome. I would get a second opinion on the need for a hysterectomy and if you do have one whether you should keep your ovaries or not. Good Luck!
