Re: Loss of sensation from having Bartholin's cyst

I have concerns about draining or marsupialize the the Bartholin's cyst
since both procedures may sever the nerves to the clitoris area. If the
nerves are severed, they cannot be reversed. Right now, the cyst is
around 1.5cm in diameter and is non-symtomatic. The doctor gave me
Duricef, an antibiotic, for the cyst, but it did no go away. Does the
cyst ever go away, either on its own, or as the result of the monthly
cycle? Should I leave it alone and see what happens? (I am 34 years
old).
If eventually the cyst doesn't go away, what type of doctors would be
experts in this area? I have seen 2 gynecologists for the cyst/sensation
problem and I douldn't get any concrete answers.
Please help! Thank you.
