Continuous BCPs and Oral Surgery

I am scheduled to have my wisdom teeth extracted in a week and a half. I have read that women who take oral contraceptives have a higher risk of developing dry sockets and should try to have the surgery during the placebo week. However, I'm on continuous birth control therapy, so I don't take those pills. Should I stop taking the pills for a week after my surgery?
