Over the past several months I have had itching around my anus and on the outer skin in my genital area. (never internally, all external itching) It is starting to drive me crazy!!!! This first occurred last year right after I had bacterial vaginosis, where I only had external feminie itching, which seemed to "creep back" to my rectum. I was given cleosin and clobetesol to treat it. The itching eventually went away, but the anal itching has continued on and off ever since. The past several weeks have been really bad. I've continued to use the clobetesol, which usually helps temporarily. I've also tried hydrocortisone creams and tucks pads. I'm wondering if this could possibly be hemmorhoids? Or what? I don't know what else to do. I had gotten sort of used having this as a nuisance, but I'm realizing that this just isn't normal. Thanks for your help!
