Ovarian Pain after Hysterectomy?From: Hazel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 3 Mar 2003 09:59:50 -0600 (CST)
Hello I am 41 yrs old, in 1999 i had a TAH leaving my left ovary behind,I have been on HRT (Oestrgen Only) Oestradiol Valerate(Climavel) 2mg daily, I have a past history of pre-canerous cells in ovarian cysts, at time of hysterectomy they were 20, 24, & 28 mm in diameter on my right ovary, which was removed. I also had these cysts previous to surgery twice had surgery to remove them. Recently i have found i am experiencing those familiar dull aches a bloating in the stomach a need to go the toilet more often, and generally just know something isn't right, this dull ache is in the region of my left ovary. Although i have had hysterectomy and not ovulating anymore is it possible to for these cysts to come back again? The cysts removed at time of TAH were corpus leuteum and theca cells, previously in 1996 had a baby die at 19wks gestation of anencephely. Don't know if this is relevant. Would appreciate any guidence given Thank you for your time Hazel
