2nd Posting - estradiol level

44 years old, overweight, hypertensive, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (20 years), and PCOS and perimenopausal symptoms (still have regular cycles), sleep problems (had sleep study - CPAP recommended) + in a weight-loss program. 5 kids/husband vasectomized - interest in hormone levels has to do with health/comfort levels, not fertility. Always cycled every 28-33 days , starting immediately after childbirth, in spite of hormone problems/continuous breastfeeding for 13 years "on demand"/no supplementary bottles and nursing kids till age 3.

Take Glucophage XR 1500 for PCOS/insulin resistance (high testosterone, etc.)Since Glucophage, testosterone levels are down and chronic pelvic pain has disappeared. Am concerned about estradiol levels being low. This blood test was drawn on day three of my cycle.

Would I benefit from supplementary estrogen or the pill if my estradiol level continues to be less than 20 pg/mL? Concerned about osteoporosis, especially with my thyroid disease/long breastfeeding and have the usual bone-tired, can't sleep well, can't remember things well, dry vaginal tissues/arousal problems, joint pain, etc.

About FSH/LH ratio: Is mine normal/does it matter? Do I need progesterone levels tested/does it matter?

Is fasting insulin too high at 15 Micro IU/mL?

My "day three" levels:

Estradiol 17 pg/mL FSH 6.0 mIU/ mL LH 3.7 mIU/ mL Testosterone, Total 41 ng/dl TSH w/relfex to FT4 1.69 mIU/ mL Glucose 95 mg/dl Insulin 15 Micro IU/mL

Reference Values: Estradiol luteal phase 15 - 260 pg/mL Postmenopausal < or = 50 pg/mL

FSH luteal phase 1.5 - 9.1 mIU/ mL Postmenopausal 23 - 116.3

LH luteal phase < 16.9 mIU/ mL Postmenopausal 5 - 52.3

Testosterone 23 - 75 ng/dl TSH w/relfex to FT4 0.40 - 5.50 mIU/ mL Glucose 65 - 109 mg/dl fasting Insulin Less than 17 Micro IU/mL
