amoxicillin in early pregnancy for UTI

I am about 3 wks preg. and I was pretty sure I had a UTI. The UA showed a little blood in my urine, but no WBCs. It also had a foul odor. I had been drinking quite a bit of water when I did the test.

I started taking the amoxicillin, but I wondered if it would be better if I just tried to get rid of it on my own, since it wasn't a full blown UTI, instead of taking the amoxicillin the first trimester. I am just paranoid to take medications when pregnant. I have not been into OB doc yet, as I only found out about 4 days ago. Please advise. Thanks
