Distressed - Generic drug is not working!!!

I know the generic drug is suppossed to be the equivolent of the name brand drug but, in my case, it does not seem to be doing the same thing. I started taking Lo/Ovral continuously in late November. For 2 months everything was going great - less pain, no periods, no bleeding whatsoever. In other words, it was doing what it was supposed to do. I was forced to switch to the generic equivolent by my prescripiton insurance company. I started taking Low Ogesterol February 3rd. Two days later, I started a period which last 8 days. I have continued to have at least 2 days of spotting each week. Then yesterday, 22 days after my last period started, I started having light bleeding. Today it is heavy bleeding and I am nearly doubled over with pain. Once again, this is 2 days into starting a new pack! This is very distressing since I have endometriosis! I don't understand how this can be. I have not skipped pills. I continue to take only the active pills. I take them no differently than I did the Lo/Ovral. Yet, I am having nothing but problems since starting on the generic. Why isn't it working the same as the Lo/Ovral?

I am currently without a doctor (mine left practice at the end of January), so I would appreciate some insight. Is it just a coincidence that I started having problems once I started the generic? Thank you.
