Hi, i'm 20 years old and I've never taken birth control pills before. My dermatologist gave me orthotricyclen to improve my acne problem. However, i am afraid to start on it because I've heard that it makes you gain weight. I'm still not clear about whether the medicine makes you eat and sleep more therefore you gain weight, or whether it has chemicals that just adds weight to your body. Please tell me which is true, and what I can do to counteract the weight gain? And what are the chances that my acne will improve if i take the medicine? thank you .
