Hello dr. I am 43years old, two teenage daughters, stage 4 endometriosis dx. by laproscopy to remove endometrioma in 2001. I had a Leep last April for ASCUS paps. My paps are now normal. My gyn. put me on Microgestin FE to help stop me from spotting about a week before my period. This has happened frequently. He told me to give the pills several months to work. I am about to take my last pill before the placebo and have been spotting for 4 days. At my age, do you feel these pills are not worthy of taking? I will be starting my 5th packet. I am 50lbs overweight and do not smoke. To sum things up, I spot during the third week and that goes on into my period the following week. What would you recommend to your patient? Thanks again.
