Sudden weight gain

I have gained about 8 pounds in the past 2 weeks. No significant difference in my eating/exercise habits (certainly not THAT much). I switched from Yasmin to Ovcon 35 and am in my 3rd week of active pills for Ovcon. Is there a difference in the BCP's that would account for the weight?

Is this kind of weight gain anything to be concerned about medically? At what point do I need to contact a doctor? Should it be my gynecologist who prescribes the pills or my regular MD?

Thanks, A
