Hello, Dh and I have been TTC since July ’02. We’ve had a few months in there when we haven’t tried, but during the months that we have, I’ve notice brown spotting that starts about a week after ovulation and lasts until my period. I have regular 28 day cycles and always ovulate on day 13 or 14. My periods are normal flow. My nurse practioner had my hormone levels tested on day 3 and day 22 of my cycle and both came back okay, but said that my progesterone levels were a little on the low side. She prescribed Prometrium (100mg) between days 1-10 of my cycle (twice a day). I did this last month and it caused me to not ovulate. I mentioned this and she said to try the 2nd half (days 15-25). I’ve done this and I’m still spotting. I’ve also had a pelvic ultrasound done and that came back fine – no polyps, cysts, etc. My question is – what are some other causes of spotting? Can dh’s sperm possibly be the reason for the spotting? Another thing is that I do have subtle cramping from ovulation until my period. I appreciate your help! Kathy
