Orgasms after a Surgical ProcedureFrom: Anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 23 Feb 2003 00:00:32 -0600 (CST)
On Dec. 11, 2002, I had my uterus removed. (Only my uterus.) At the same time, the Dr. installed a Gynecare TVT for incontinence. This was all done with an incision through my abdomen. Since my surgery, I have not been able to have an orgasm. I am not sure if this is going to sound odd, but I do not think that my orgasms came from my vagina, but from my urethra. Would having the TVT installed have interfered with this? Another woman told me that some women do have a glad that allows them to secrete a liquid from their urethra during intercourse. I am not sure. I just know that I really enjoyed it. We used to have to put a towel under us because it was so massive and the bed would be so wet. How long after having such a surgery does it take a normal woman to have an orgasm again or whatever I was having?
