Crohn's, Ovarian Cyst & IVP

I am really having difficulty making a decision. Mild case of Crohn's of the small intestine since 1975, one bypass resection. My intestines have been working better than any time in the last 28 years the last couple of months. Size, consistency, moving thru and out smoothly, easily, and timely.

Have a relatively stable 5.3 x 5.1 x 4.7 cm simple ovarian or paraovarian cyst discovere Aug 02, being watched by gyn and gyn/onco w/periodic ultrasounds. New ultrasound equipment and new radiologists last 2 of 4 ultrasounds done.

Have been having other unexplained pelvic and abdominal symptoms for which we've found no cause. ER visit last month for suspected UTI, treated w/fluids & antibiotics but urine culture negative. Referred to a urologist for cystoscopy. But he's ordered an IVP, then cystoscopy. Found out after the office visit that IVP requires Fleets Prep Kit # 1.

I really do not want to go thru any bowel cleansing w/my intestines working this well. But it is the weekend and the IVP is Monday at 8AM at our local hospital. Am I being overprotective of my small intestines?? I don't like to be uncooperative when asking for help but at the same time its nice to have at least one system working right, especially one that through the years quite often hasn't always been totally cooperative.

Is there an alternative?
