I am 36 yrs.young and have 4 children after 5 times being pregnant,2 are twins. I went to my gyno because I have been having pain and spotting with intercourse. I am experiencing nausea and weight gain/extreme bloating pre menstration. I am also having progressively worse cramping prior to and during menstration which I never experienced until this past year. Constipation prior to menstration and then abdominal cramping and diarrhea with menstration. My cycle has become very irregular(24-39 days) with heavy clotting for one day. I feel as though I am riding a hormonal rollercoaster and have lost all sexual desire. I had a period of unexplain Hypothyrodisim last year. I was diagnosed with endometriosis approx. 14 yrs. ago via a Laporascopy. My sister(@age 36) and mother(@ age 34) both had hysterectomies due to severe endometriosis and hormonal imbalances. My doctor put me on an antibiotic because my uterus was swollen. The cultures all came back negative for infection and the utrasound showed a 2.8 cm cyst on my right ovary. He told me that he thought I was just getting fat and should see my primary physician because the problem might be in my bowel. He said he didn't think it was endometriosis because being pregnant cures that. Does pregnancy cure endometrosis? What effect does endometreosis have on your hormones and your thyroid? Thanks for your concern and your time, Kelly
