Do I need both a pediatritian and an obgyn?

My husband and I are getting ready to start trying next month for kids. I would like to have a pre pregnancy exam before starting, so I have begun to research doctors. What I am finding is that I am really confused between whether or not I need to have both an obgyn (for the pregnancy) and then a separate pediatrition (for after the pregnancy) or if I can just use one or the other for the whole time. Also, if I do need to find two separate doctors, when should I begin looking for a pediatrition? Thank you for your time.
