Re: Feeling CervixFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 16 Feb 2003 07:47:12 -0800 (PST)
Christine, That tubelike structure that you felt and was so prominent is your cervix. The dimple like thing that you felt with this tube is the opening to the cervix, but closed enough so that it can try to keep infection out. I remember when I felt my cervix for the very first time and I thought how strange it felt. My first feeling of it was when I was inserting medication in to my vagina for an infection I had at the time. And b/c of that I knew I had bumps on my cervix. Turned out I had Nabothian cysts on when I saw my dr about two weeks ago she confirmed that I did have these things. Hope that this helps some. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html For women who are interested in additional support http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Endo_Vulvodynia_PCOS/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Zoladexforendometriosis/ I am a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
