Re: 1-day yeast treatmentFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 12 Feb 2003 13:23:29 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I am not a doctor but can offer some advice. I know what you are going thru. I had the same problem. Any cream I inserted just made the situation alot worse. I do not get them that often anymore but the last 2 times I had one my doctor gave me 1 pill called Diflucon and it worked great for me. In fact I just started with another infection over the weekend and took a pill yesterday and feel 70% better. Another thing that I found to be a big help is to get a plastic sqeeze water bottle (I got one from the hospital to rinse my incision after I had my kids). I feel it with cool water and rinse the area very lightly that is itching and burning. I especilly use it when I urinate. Believe me this eliminates the horrible burning pain that this causes! I also make sure I use it when I get out of the shower in case there is any soap left down there (OUCH!). Good luck to you!
