lack of menstruation and differing pregnancy test results - What is going on??

In August 2002 i was involved in a road traffic accident and suffered mild bruising and bleeding on the brain. Whilst there were no apparent internal injuries, i was unable to eat and vomited blood for a week. I menstruated once after the accidentat at the end of September but have had no period since then. My cycle has always been long and irregular - usually around 6-8 weeks. I used a home pregnancy test in December which was negative and another in early January which was also negative. A couple of weeks after using the second test i visited my doctor who performed another urine test which was positive! Due to my irregular cycle it was difficult to calculate due dates so i went for a scan a couple of weeks after seeing the doctor. The scan indicated that i was not pregnant and the endometrial wall was very thick. Another pregnancy test confirmed that i was not pregnant. Even before i visited my doctor i had been suffering from morning sickness (except it usually occured in the evening) and had noticed a definite thickening of my waist. A miscarriage seems to be out of the question - i have had no bleeding. Has anyone heard of anything like this before, any ideas on what is happening - could it be something to do with the accident or something else altogether?

Thank you
