5cm mass on right ovary years after partial hysterectomyFrom: Cynthia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 11 Feb 2003 16:27:56 -0600 (CST)
I had a partial hysterectomy almost six years ago. Last year I started noticing pain during intercourse and pain on my lower right side, sometimes during walking. Bloating, frequently needing to use the bathroom.. I went to the gyn, was told I had a 5cm mass on right ovary. I was scheduled a vaginal ultrasound a couple of weeks after that. The scan showed a mass about 3cm and the report said, "they thought everything looked okay." I went home happy thought it would continue to shrink during the cycle. Pain went away, bloating went down, etc. Now almost 8 months later, same symptoms but worse. I've scheduled another dr. appt. but, whats going on...is this normal? Pre-menopausal? Can these things come and go, and is it really okay? Thanks for anything. ct.
