Now that I am on Ortho Novum, I was told I could skip the sugar pills for two months and then be sure to take them on my third pack so would have my period (and keep my sanity to know I was not pregnant). Well, now I am on the sugar pills (Sunday is my last one) and I have not started my period. Do you know if this is something that is normal? is my cycle messed up? I have done the sugar pill skipping for about 6 months now and I have not run into any problems til now. Hoping I am not pregnant ..... >Brenda Walker You can try a pregnancy test, but more than likely you have simply reduced the lining of the uterus to minimal, and having a period is not going to occur for lack of tissue, not pregnancy. BTW, you can go without taking the sugar pills indefinitely. Your chance of getting pregnant if you always take an active pills is significantly less than if you do take the sugar pills
