Kim and Michelle:

It's great to know I'm not alone out there in this mystery of the vagina! Interesting point you brought up, Kim, about the depression/anxiety thing. I do have an anxiety disorder, or several, according to a few psychologists, so maybe nerves play a role in this. I find that sometimes when I get real tense or nervous about something, my whole body starts itching!!!! I just picture my nerves standing on end when I get nervous. I also break out in hives sometimes on my bra and panty lines.

I talked to my gyno today and she said that Aldara takes 6 weeks before any improvements will show up. But you are right, I should get a second opinion because it didn't even sound like she was sure that is what it was. She said "suggestive of HPV" and didn't even bother to tell me what HPV was. I had to research it myself.

If it turns out that it's NOT HPV, I had one other theory: sugar intake. I have a lot of sugar in my diet, and perhaps there is yeast in my system. If I reduce sugar and exercise, maybe the itch will subside.

>problems are pretty common. I think it's fundamentally a weird area,
>full of nerves, subject to hormones, emotions etc. Hang in there, I'm
>confident it will get better.
