daughter's cyclesFrom: beav (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 5 Feb 2003 21:16:21 -0600 (CST)
My daughter is 16, she started menstrating when she was 14. She seems to go on and off her cycles frequently. She will go for awhile going 26-28 days then she will go for awhile 20-21 days, and back and forth. Is this something to be concerned about or is it normal? and at what point does she need to be seen. I don't want her taking the pill so what would be done anyway? What would be the cause of the periods being so close, no ovulation? When I was younger I had alot of problems with cysts but I don't remember having cycles that short, I had problems with bad cramps and heavy bleeding. I do give her a vitamin that has iron in it.
